Dalton’s first full time Super2 livery unveiled
Lochie Dalton’s first full time Dunlop Super2 Series livery has been revealed with a strong Tasmanian connection for the Brad Jones Racing driver.
Dalton catapults into the first round at Newcastle (March 10-12) with a fresh coat of PPG paint on his ZB Commodore with backing from one of Tasmania's largest civil contracting firms, AWC Pty Ltd.
Dalton’s ZB Commodore’s introduction to Super2 will see it wrapped in 3M films in a striking white and blue livery, featuring the BJR logo across the roof.
The young Tassie talent carried their colours in his first Super2 outing in Adelaide and across his Trans Am exploits, including his recent successful hit-out at Race Tasmania.
Coming off a high at Symmons Plains, netting second overall for the weekend and appearing on the podium in two of the three races, Dalton is ready and revving for the Supercars feeder series season ahead.
The 21-year-old showed his speed at his Super2 debut in Adelaide in the previous generation of Commodore, fighting to a top ten finish in his second race among the highly competitive field.
The Newcastle street circuit will kick off the six round series that includes a venture to Bathurst and culminates in a battle in Adelaide.
The first Super2 practice session of the year goes green at 10:10 AEDT on Friday 10th, with the first race scheduled for 13:50 AEDT the following day.
What Lochie has to say…
Lochie Dalton
Super2 Driver, #43 Commodore ZB
“The car looks impressive, I’m excited to have backing from AWC for the year ahead.
“Newcastle is an unforgiving circuit, it’s a pretty tough initiation for the start of the season but I’m pretty confident in the preparation we’ve done that it won’t be too difficult.
“I can’t thank AWC, Fiducian Finance and Brad Jones Racing enough for the support for this year and I want to repay them on track for that.
“I’m realistic about our goals this year, it’s our first full season in Super2 and while we want to finish as high as we can, if we can finish with a clean car and get into the top five, I’d be pretty happy with that.”
