BJR Run Down explains all the big Gen3 changes

The Brad Jones Racing Run Down podcast explains all the big changes in Gen3 from the aero to the driver’s cockpit, Macauley Jones and Chris Westwood (BJR General Manager) provide fans with the insight on what to expect from the newest generation of racers.

Guided by Westwood’s hand drawn version of a BJR Camaro, that looks suspiciously like another marque, the boys discuss everything from the undertray to the rear wing, to pitstop procedural changes.

Brad Jones Racing already has its eyes on a fifth Pit Stop Challenge trophy, after taking the last four and the trusty workshop practice AU is currently getting the Gen3 treatment.

Jones and Westwood note the change of the spike placement and what that means for crew movements around the car in a pitstop, with one personnel now moved in front of the a-pillar.

With the introduction of a smaller water bottle for the driver’s it also means that that crew member will be required to help that switch, especially during longer races.

The BJR Run Down podcast aims to give Supercars fans an inside look at the team and the sport, with a special preview of the Newcastle round to be published before the season gets underway on March 10-12.
