Macauley Jones
Rising through the ranks of karting and Formula Ford before debuting in Supercars with a full-time drive in 2019, Macauley Jones has proven he is more than just a famous name.
Winning the Australian Formula Ford Championship’s Rookie of the Year award in 2012, he finished fourth in his final FF season in 2013 and also embarked on a Toyota Racing Series campaign in New Zealand.
Jones moved into the Dunlop Super2 Series with BJR in 2014, winning the 2017 Bathurst race in the series.
The Albury local made the switch to full-time racing in the main game under the CoolDriver banner.
He ended his rookie season 21st in the championship and improved to 19th in his last season in CoolDrive colours in 2020.
Blanchard’s move to start his own squad brought Jones completely under the BJR umbrella to pilot the #96 entry.
Jones is a unique character in the Supercars field. He’s a qualified mechanic, completing his apprenticeship at BJR before taking on full-time driver duties.
He is also a determined athlete, claiming the Guiness World record for the amount of ‘burpees’ down in a hour (870 at the time) and also finishing fourth in the grueling KosciMiler trail race, finishing the 100 miles in just over 20 hours on his first attempt.
Pizza Hut are onboard Jones’ 96 Camaro, and the pair make a formidable duo - always ready to share the good times.
