SCT Motorsport announces Dean Fiore as endurance season co-driver

Dean Fiore will join Jaxon Evans at the wheel of the SCT Logistics Camaro for the Supercars Championship’s two endurance events.

In what is Jaxon Evans’ first tilt as a main driver at both the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000, he will be joined by a familiar face in Fiore in the #12 Camaro.

A coup for the SCT Motorsport team, Fiore and Evans have already proven to be a great combination working behind the scenes.

The pair have similar work ethics and philosophies which are important characteristics of a co-driving relationship.

Fiore is also a known talent in the Supercars field; in the last four consecutive 1000s he has finished inside the top ten, which is a remarkable streak at The Mountain.

In fact, since 2016 Fiore has only been outside the top ten twice in the Bathurst 1000, showcasing an incredible amount of consistency.

The West Australian has been around the Brad Jones Racing team for three years and for 2024 joins the SCT Motorsport garage.

Fiore is fresh off a Super2 outing in Townsville and had another taste of Gen3 machinery at the Sydney Motorsport Park ride day following the Sydney SuperNight.

He will also get the chance to be part of the team’s Winton Motor Raceway test day in September before the Sandown 500.

The endurance season kicks off 13-15 of September in Melbourne before the big one in October, the Bathurst 1000 (10-13).

Supercars Co-Driver SCT Logistics #12 Camaro

Excited to be back in the BJR stable with the SCT crew for this year.

“I am also thrilled by the prospect of supporting a young talent like Jaxon. I’ve been following his career over the years through Porsche and GT and he’s had some great results.

“Jaxon and I also get along very well, we’ve been around each other for a few years, spending a few hours in the drivers’ trailer. So I’m excited to support his enduro campaign in 2024.

“Joining the SCT Motorsport program also means a lot that I get to work with Andrew Jones [Head of Motorsport Programs at SCT Logistics]. I’ve known him for 20 years or so and we’ve always kept in touch. So it’s great to get the opportunity to work with him.”
