PIZZA HUT RACING DEBUTS NEW GEN3 SUPERCAR FOR 2023 CHAMPIONSHIP WITH MACAULEY JONES AND BJR

February 11 2023: Pizza Hut Racing is putting their pedal to the metal as they debut in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship with Macauley Jones and Brad Jones Racing.

The newly launched Gen3 Supercar will see Jones’ Chevrolet Camaro proudly carry the Pizza Hut emblem for the full season. The stunning Pizza Hut livery will adorn the highly anticipated next generation of Supercar, with the traditional red and white making a striking contrast along the contours of the Camaro body.

The car was transported to the Hume Dam, just down the road from Brad Jones Racing's workshop, for it's official unveiling.

The partnership between Pizza Hut Racing and BJR comes as a natural fit between two icons with a rich history in their respective industries, with Brad Jones Racing having entered the championship in 2000 and Pizza Hut Australia first opening its doors in 1970. Pizza Hut and Brad Jones Racing have already developed a great partnership over recent years, with Macauley’s #96 Commodore carrying the pizza empire’s livery over the 2022 Townsville weekend.

Brad Jones Racing Owner, Brad Jones shares, “Fans can now cheer on our Pizza Hut Camaro at every round of the championship while eating a Pizza Hut pizza either at home or at some of the signature events where a Pizza Hut store is at the venue. How good is that!? The sponsorship is more than just a logo on the car and we’re excited that they’re part of the BJR family.”

The collaboration heralds in a new era of racing, as BJR proudly introduces the Gen3 car, marking a parallel with Pizza Huts’ own drive to be at the top of its market.

Jones continues, “Pizza Hut is a globally renowned organisation and we’re proud to be able to carry their branding on Macauley’s car. Pizza Hut is expanding rapidly in Australia and it’s exciting to join them on that journey.”

This partnership marks an important step for Pizza Hut Australia on its journey to take the top spot as Australia’s favourite pizza. Partnerships like this have helped fuel the businesses 47 consecutive months of same-store sales growth.

CEO of Pizza Hut Australia, Phil Reed says, "“Both Pizza Hut and Brad Jones love to win. We want to be champions. Together, we will both get back to Number 1”

Macauley will be jumping into the Pizza Hut Camaro on Wednesday February 22nd at Sydney Motorsport Park, where all teams will test their new cars together.

Supercars Driver, Macauley Jones says “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel at the first test and really get a taste of my own Camaro - learn the intricacies and try and really settle into the Gen3 car.”

The Camaro is a relative unknown for the young driver and he’s eager to sink his teeth into the limited testing opportunities before the first championship round in Newcastle on March 10th - 12th.

The Pizza Hut Camaro with Macauley behind the wheel will be raring to launch off the starting line, hot, fresh and ready to deliver results on track.
