BJR Run Down: Season review, Macca’s massive run and off-season fun

The Brad Jones Racing Run Down podcast is here with the final regular episode of the 2023 season.

Macauley Jones and BJR General Manager Chris Westwood are back in the hot seats to discuss Adelaide, parity, wind tunnel testing and more.

The guys open with a chat on Jones’ monster achievement in the last week - he not only completed the ultra-trail run, the KosciMiler but finished fourth overall, clocking 20 hours and 18 minutes of terrain running.

Jones made the decision earlier this year to compete in the 100 mile event at Mount Kosciuszko and has spent his downtime training for the grueling race.

Cementing himself as an athlete away from the track, Jones braved wild conditions to get to the finish line - from intense heat to storms.

The conversation shifts back to motorsport, with the pair reviewing Adelaide for the Pizza Hut Racing driver and the season as a whole.

Jones sums up the first year of Gen3 racing, saying that he believes the package is successful and that the racing itself is fun, however notes that there are some improvements that need to be made to the cars.

The Albury local also reflects on departing drivers, team-mate Jack Smith and three-time Supercars Champion Shane van Gisbergen.

The BJR Run Down is a regular podcast produced by the Supercars team aiming to provide insight into the Albury-based squad and the Supercars paddock.

Launched in 2023, the boys have plans to expand coming into the new season - inviting guests and giving an even greater inside look into the sport.
