Three BJR drivers in the Top Ten Shootout in Adelaide
Supercars
Three Brad Jones Racing cars have made it through to the Shootout after Qualifying was interrupted with two massive crashes.
The majority of the field was on their second qualifying lap when Matt Stone Racing’s Cam Hill hit the wall at Turn 8 shortly followed by Team 18’s David Reynolds.
A red flag was called and the session was never restarted, meaning that Jaxon Evans (#50 SCT Motorsport) Macauley Jones (#96 Pizza Hut Racing) and Bryce Fullwood (#14 Middy’s Racing) will be part of the Top Ten Shootout tomorrow.
R&J Batteries driver Andre Heimgartner was unlucky then to have been sitting 13th at the time, locking in his grid position for tomorrow’s 250km race.
Practice 3 will kick off action tomorrow at 10:00 ACDT, before the Shootout at 12:35.
Super2
The Super2 boys will be looking to make up some positions in both races on Saturday and Sunday at the Adelaide 500.
With just over a second dividing the grid, finding the last bit of time has proven to be difficult for the pair.
Elliott Cleary has placed his #9 Sync Music ZB Commodore in 14th for both of the races with team-mate Cody Gillis starting the races from 16th and 13th on the grid.
The Super2 series is on track for Race 1 tomorrow at 11:40 ACDT.

"We just had qualifying that got cancelled, so bit of a shame. It's not bad. I think we would have gone alright in it. The lap I was doing was alright. So in some ways I would have liked to keep going, but it is what it is, and we'll have another think about it and go again tomorrow. I just got unlucky with the red flag but at least I'm not 20th. So it could be much worse."
Bryce Fullwood
Supercars driver, #14 Middy's Electrical Camaro
"Really odd day here. It's certainly a first for me, but in the Shootout, two seconds off the pace. Obviously we where still warming up and really aiming for a second lap. Hope all those guys are alright, and hope they'll get those cars back out. It should make for a pretty interesting race though so yeah, look forward to tomorrow."
Macauley Jones
Supercars driver, #96 Pizza Hut Camaro
"It's obviously exciting, it's just odd. I was not even on a fast lap to get in the qualifying into the Shootout so it feels very odd to be honest, but I'm excited to go on a lap by myself around this joint. It's dope. "
Jaxon Evans
Supercars driver, #50 SCT Logistics Camaro
"We're in the Top Ten Shootout which is pretty cool obviously for everyone involved. And to have three cars in the 10 so, I mean, normally when you're this far down pit lane, it's not working in your favour. But I think for, for us, it did in this instance. So obviously, glad that everyone that was involved in the shunt is okay but looking forward to having to go on a Top 10 Shootout tomorrow"

“Reasonable day here. Not the results we're entirely looking for, but that's how it goes. Quali 1 was decent. I just really didn't put it all together and I think that's sort of the story of today. So we’ll be starting 14th for both races. I think we know what we need to do to the car to tune it up and hopefully we can race forward.”
Cody Gillis
Super2 driver, #9 Perry's Fuel Distributors ZB Commodore
“Okay day at Adelaide today. The first qualifying session we probably struggled a little bit more driver and then a little bit of car balance, so we tuned it up for the second session. It was a lot better. I botched a lap. I was probably on a pretty good lap before that. It probably would have put us in the 10, but ended up 13th. It's obviously positive leaving the day with a little bit more confidence and we've got a race tomorrow and then a race Sunday. It's gonna be pretty hot tomorrow, so we'll see how we go.”
