New Year, New Driver, New Look!

The 2022 R&J Batteries Racing #8 car means business this season.

The R&J Batteries Racing #8 car will be adorned in a fresh white, black and red colourway and will be tough to miss on track.

R&J Batteries takes pride of place on the sides of the car with long time BJR sponsor Cub Cadet welcomed to prime position on the bonnet.

Joining R&J Batteries, Cub Cadet, Mongrel Boots, Timken, Dormakaba and Summit Fleet Leasing and Management on the #8 car of André Heimgartner for the first time in 2022 is Cub Cadet, FUCHS and Adaptalift.

Heimgartner said he was excited about what felt like a homecoming of sorts in his return to Brad Jones Racing.

“To be joining forces with such a legendary team and sponsors is an amazing opportunity and challenge I am really looking forward to. I can’t wait for the year ahead and much more success to come.

“Knowing BJR is going to be my home for the long-term is very exciting. The team has such a great vibe. They are one of the most established teams in the business, but the feeling is really one of a big family unit. I’ve felt so welcomed already and to have the whole team at R&J Batteries right behind me has been fantastic.”

R&J Batteries Managing Director Ray Robson said he was excited to welcome young gun Heimgartner to the family.

“We’re thrilled to have André behind the wheel of the R&J Batteries #8 car and we’re looking forward to growing our relationship with both André and the entire BJR team in 2022.

“Motorsport is in our DNA, so we are proud to be taking on naming rights with BJR once again and extend our agreement with Brad and the team into 2022,” Stuart Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer of R&J Batteries said.

Team Owner Brad Jones said he was looking forward to continuing the partnership with R&J Batteries with the addition of André at the helm of the #8 car.

“André is a familiar face with the BJR team and I’m extremely excited to have him on board, full-time, for the 2022 season and beyond.
