SUPERCARS QUOTEBOARD
Andre Heimgartner
Supercars driver, #8 R&J Batteries Camaro
"Solid day today. We started fourth, lost a spot on my first lap with all the back and forth and then managed to hold position from there. A really solid day for us with good progression with the car and we’re feeling confident that we have got a bit of direction. I’m looking forward to tomorrow, with two qualis and we will see if we can do well again, and then go from there in the race."
Bryce Fullwood
Supercars driver, #14 Brad Jones Racing Camaro
"That was another action-packed race. It was a shame that we didn’t qualify well for that race because our speed is actually not that bad. We were hoping that race was going to go the full distance, but unfortunately there was a lot of mayhem again. We did make four spots which was a good step, so we are looking forward for tomorrow."
Macauley Jones
Supercars driver, #96 Pizza Hut Racing Camaro
"That was an odd race; a lot of Safety Cars, not a whole lot of laps, which is always disappointing to have to cut a race short, but that's a part of racing at the Australian Grand Prix. It was not a bad race for us, we moved a couple of spots forward, making some passes which showed that the car had improved from yesterday. For tomorrow, it will be interesting to reset for a couple of qualifyings, and then another race in the heat, which will play a big part, especially if the race is green. But we will make some changes overnight because I feel there are some areas where we can improve."
Jaxon Evans
Supercars driver, #12 SCT Motorsport Camaro
"Started 22nd and I got an alright start. I was in and amongst the back group where I made a few places, lost a few places, and got hit off, but then settled into a groove and finished 18th. The position is not great, but we are happy to make some changes to the car that I could actually feel this time around, which gives us something to work with for tomorrow."
