Nick was the comeback king in todays final race at Queensland Raceway. Nick progressed early, getting through each of the knockout qualifying sessions, claiming a solid starting spot of 8th.

As the green flag dropped for the 200km race, the Hare & Forbes Supercar stalled on the start line. Nick worked quickly to get it started again, but by the time he was on the move, he was at the back of the pack in 24th. Nick was quick on the radio, advising the team he would be doing all he can to regain positions. By lap 10, Nick was in 17th and by the time all cars had completed their stops Nick had driven the Hare & Forbes Supercar even further forward, to sit in 12th with 20 laps remaining.

In the final laps Nick had finally clawed his way back into the top ten, undoubtedly earning the charge of the day to finish in 9th. The Hare & Forbes Supercar rose to the challenge today.

Next up, the team will head across to Nick’s home state of South Australia where they will compete at The Bend Motorsport Park for the second time in history.

“After stalling on the starting grid, I knew it was going to make for a more challenging race today. I took no prisoners in my comeback session today. I knew I had a good car so I focused on getting back towards the top ten, and thankfully we did that. The Hare & Forbes Supercar was strong and we had quick pit stops, it’s a credit to the team for giving me a car that was able to fight forward like it did.”
