THE WORD FROM NICK

Nick “I think we should have had both our cars in the top 6 today. The potential was definitely there, we both showed that in qualifying this morning and if we didn’t get the late red flag in that session I believe we could have locked out the front row with myself in the Boost Mobile Racing Commodore and Tim Slade in the Freightliner Racing Commodore, which would have been awesome for BJR.”

“The turn-around I received from Fabian in the final 20 minutes of the race was interesting, obviously I was a little wide there but I didn’t expect to get hit and turned around because that’s not what we do. The DJRTP guys don’t realise, they’ve had a lot of success this year, and we’ve had some massive downs. It’s been pretty hard for the guys.”

“It’s great for our stable-mate Tim and Andre at Freightliner Racing to get on the podium. When someone from the team has success, we celebrate as a team and I’m keen to see the boys and congratulate them on their day. It’s a close-knit team, and like a family, so we feel the highs and lows no matter which car you work on, it’s a group effort.”

“The Boost Mobile Commodore is good in both conditions so I’m looking forward to tomorrow no matter whether it rains or not! The guys have given me a speedy car, so hopefully we can keep out of trouble tomorrow and show some of the potential we have.”
