Dunlop Tyres are thrilled to present the Dunlop Super Dealer backed Brad Jones Racing Holden VF Commodore which will be driven by Nick Percat at the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint this weekend.
Dunlop Tyres have been an integral part of Australian Motorsport, with their industry-leading innovative tyre designs and development keeping them at the forefront of motorsport. They have supported BJR over the years and 2017 marks their 16th season supplying the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and the recently re-named Dunlop Super2 Series Championship.
Kim Jones said “We’ve got a great relationship with the team at Dunlop. They play such an important role in Supercars as the tyres are very technical and key part to our sport. The support they not only give us, but all teams up and down pit lane is brilliant.”
Nick Percat added “It’s always exciting to reveal the new livery before each event. The yellow on this is really bright and bold, it definitely won’t be missed on track.”
“The Dunlop team that work with us at the track constantly engage with drivers and teams to ensure we’re getting the most of the tyres. At the end of the day our Dunlop tyres are what is in between us and the road, so performance and reliability is key. When you’ve got good tyres, it gives you confidence to push the car harder and make more passes. That’s what the fans love to see.”
Senior Brand Manager for Dunlop Tony Kiernan added “As a proud supporter of Australian motorsport, Dunlop values our long-term association with Brad Jones Racing. We are looking forward to seeing the Nick Percat car race in our distinctive Dunlop colours at the Ipswich SuperSprint event.”
Fans will get the chance to meet Nick Percat and see the #8 Dunlop Super Dealer Commodore up close at the Supercars Coates Hire Community Day, this Thursday 4pm-5pm at Coates Hire, 43 Lobb St, Churchill. Then the Dunlop Super Dealer Commodore will hit the track Friday with Nick’s co-driver Macauley Jones behind the wheel for the first outing, the additional driver practice session.
