News // EMOTIONAL RESULT FOR BRIGHT
+

Two years ago it was Team BOC's Jason Richards on the podium at Albert Park and Jason Bright found it hard to follow his late friend today after finishing second overall.

BJR team-mate Fabian Coulthard won the round and, when asked what the historic 1-2 finish meant to him, Bright choked up and said it was a bitter-sweet moment in his career.

Bright finished 11th in today's 12-lap race but it was enough to secure second over the weekend's four races.

V8 Supercars will be back in action at Symmons Plains, Tasmania from 5-7th April.

"Overall it was a great weekend for Team BOC and Lockwood Racing but it was bitter sweet. It was only two years ago that JR had such a good weekend here and he's been on all our minds a lot.

"I didn't get a good start so I was behind the two FPR cars off the line and the pit stop wasn't up to scratch so I was behind the two Nissans after that. We just had our eye on the points from then on because we didn't have the pace we wanted."
