News // BIG DECISIONS FOR TEAM BOC
+

Stick to your guns or jump ship? That is the set-up dilemma facing Team BOC at the Clipsal 500 tonight after an oversight rendered today's four practice sessions unusable.

Jason Bright struggled all day at the infamous street track with the suspected cause only being discovered after qualifying 20th for tomorrow's 250km race.

Team-mate Fabian Coulthard, meanwhile, qualified fourth and now Team BOC has to decide whether to stick with the set-up that saw Bright comfortably fastest at the official test earlier this month or switch to Coulthard's tried and tested formula at the street track.

Warm-up for tomorrow's 250km race starts at 8.45am.

"The car has become very difficult to drive; nothing like it was at the test. It's nothing like the car we've had earlier in the year in fact.

"We've found a problem, which we think explains it, but the question now is whether to persist with our set-up, which we've not had chance to refine because of the mix-up, or switch to Fabian's.

"Fabian's car is quick so we should probably go back to that set-up because we've been trying to tune around a mistake for the whole of today's running but it's disappointing because everything had been so promising at the test.

"Hopefully we can get on top of it this evening and make it a better race car. It's going to need to be from P20 on the grid."
