Team BOC travelled down the Hume Highway to Winton Raceway yesterday for the second of their pre season test days. The weather though impacted the test day plans with rain falling for the majority of the day.
Early in the day, the team cycled through their test day tyres in preparation for the opening test laps but soon after heavy rain began to fall forcing Engineer Phil Keed into an alternative wet test session.
The crew worked through a series of wet weather runs with the engineering team able to gather some important wet set up information.
The weather cleared late in the day allowing slicks to be fitted for the final half hour.
The Team BOC Commodore covered 90 laps for the day and will now be in good position to capitalize on the first wet session of the season.
"We made the most of the opportunity to run in wet for most of the day. It wasn't ideal preparation for Clipsal but we uncovered some good wet weather data which will help us in the future" said engineer Phil Keed.
Team BOC returned to their Albury workshop today to prepare the car for the season's opening race weekend, The Clipsal 500 to be raced on the Adelaide street circuit from 1st ? 4th March.
