Coregas Racing #8 Nick Percat

A rough night for Nick in the Coregas Racing Commodore with steering issues throughout the night and unfortunately getting taken out by James Courtney in Race 2 and the Reynolds in Race 3. Nothing seemed to go Nick’s way unfortunately! The Blue, white and orange Coregas livery was a standout however on track. We’ll move on to the next one!

The word from Nick:

“Yeah, that wasn’t a great night, was it?! Highlight of the night was qualifying 11th at PI but then it went downhill from there. Ah well! My engineer (Nelson) fell asleep on the job too so it was rough. I’ll get my steering wheel sorted and try stay out of trouble next week so I can get the #8 up the front for BJR & Coregas.

Brut Military Grade #14 Todd Hazelwood

Todd was on the money last night with strategy and it paid off. Opting to take his stops very early on in all races and gaining positions in doing so, finishing with 2x top tens across the night. Showing fast race pace throughout the night, Todd stayed clear of the absolute carnage in Race 3 (thanks to reverse grid start) and got the Brut Military Grade Commodore some great points to add to his championship total.

The word from Todd:

“It was a much better night for me, thankfully! My engineer Tony and I worked hard on our strategy and I’m glad we went with it because it paid off! I had some awesome battles and bought it back a few times from the grass, was a great night of racing. Thanks to Brut for their continued support through the Eseries, I’m happy to get some better results for us all.”

Team CoolDrive #3 Macauley Jones

Macca had an impressive night at PI and Interlagos, with some of his best results so far in the competition. Clocking lap times as fast as the leaders and taking on great battles along the way. A bystander in the huge shunt on lap one in the final race seeing nearly every car get taken out was a sight to see, however, Macca still bought it home strong. Nice work!

The word from Macca:

“I didn’t have the best quali sessions last night so I’m happy I could turn it around and get some solid results in the races. We opted to stay out as long as we could before taking our pits but the tyre deg was pretty high so we just had to juggle that. It was a good night, good to get another shot at PI for one race too.”

SCT Motor Sport #4 Jack Smith

A night of what could have been for Jack who started on the front row of the grid for Race 3 and was holding the pack behind him for the first 5 laps, showing strong pace until getting taken out from behind by Jack Le Brocq. We’ll soldier on to the next one.

The word from Jack:

“Was a bit of an up and down night of racing for me. I had some solid battles and feel like I’m improving overall, there were some big hits going on around me. I enjoyed race 3 and could have had a great result there until I completely taken out and into the fence, not ideal. It was fun racing at Brazil though!”
