Dunlop Super Dealer Racing #8 Nick Percat
Unfortunately, it just wasn’t Nick’s night in Texas. A broken steering wheel in Quali made things difficult from the get go but he steered it home as best he could, battling in all 3 races at COTA and finished with some solid results considering. Another night of technology 1 – Nick 0. On to the next we say!
The word from Nick:
“Ummm yeah, not much to report other than my wheel broke so it was just, like really floppy, making it so hard to steer. Least I could get some points on the board. Hopefully I can figure out how to fix it and get it good as new for the next one.”
Brut Military Grade #14 Todd Hazelwood
It was a bit of a roller coaster of a night for Todd in the Brut Military Grade Commodore, however, he came away with BJR’s first podium of the Eseries, finishing 3rd in Race Two. Had some great battles along the way so all in all a much better night for Todd.
The word from Todd:
“Had a bit of an up and down round but it was really cool to get the first podium finish for BJR with a P3 in Race 2. Had a great battle with Formula 1 Driver Lando Norris with a few dicey moments but got that podium in the end. Happy to get some extra points in the Championship too.”
Team CoolDrive #3 Macauley Jones
Macauley got bucked off the bull a few times in Texas with a rough night with some big hits pushing him off track and down the grid. Fighting back showing some great race pace and strong strategy throughout all races.
The word from Macca:
“Bit of a blaa night for me, wasn’t great. Got a few unnecessary hits which hurt me so I can’t do much once I’m down the back end of the pack. Throw that one in the bag and focus on next week.”
SCT Motor Sport #4 Jack Smith
Jack had BJR’s Eseries driver Jake Burton back on board spotting him last night and helping with strategy. Practice makes perfect and Jack’s results are improving each week, showing some consistent race pace in Texas that he will continually work on.
The word from Jack:
“It was good to have Jake back so I don’t have to manage it all and can focus solely on the racing side. I’m slowly improving as the weeks go on and having some new kit is a big help. I’ll keep chipping away, were back in America next week so I’ll be learning some new tracks before then.”
Super2 Wildcard #140 Josh Fife
BJR’s up and coming driver Josh Fife battled it out with the best last night and he didn’t step aside for anyone, putting his best foot forward and having some great fights. Josh started race 2 off the front line with the reverse grid and getting a great start, holding his own and leading the pack on the first lap. Some impressive racing for our Wildcard of the night!
The word from Josh:
“I had so much fun last night and it was just great to be back racing again but even better to be racing against all the main game drivers. Really enjoyed it! Thanks to BJR and Capital Gas Works for supporting me and having me enter as a Wildcard. It was great to get my racing competitive side out again, I’ll be back on the sim more now haha!”.
HIGHLIGHT
Highlight of the night has to go to Todd in the Brut Military Grade Commodore for securing BJR’s first podium finish in the Eseries! We said you’d be anything but camouflaged this round and you proved us right, haha! Well done Todd!
