It’s Round Five of the Eseries and all the ins and outs are right here!
Where are we going this week?
We’re off to the spa for nails and a facial...What’s that? Not that kind of spa? Of course not, it’s Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium! No time for a relaxing massage when you’ve got to deal with classic corners like Eau Rouge and Blanchimont, am I right? On this week’s agenda is one quali session followed by a Top Ten Shootout. A reverse grid (always brings the entertainment) follows with a points total grid and 3 races all at the one track.
BJR Car #8 Nick Percat
With another three top tenners last week in the Dunlop Super Dealer Racing Commodore, Nick is focused on making the shootout and breaking into that top five!
The word from Nick:
“The Top Ten Shootout is what all drivers want to make. I’m glad it’s back on the schedule this week. I’ll be pushing hard to get into it and hopefully have three good races at Spa.”
BJR Car #14 Todd Hazelwood
Todd Hazelwood is back in the mean looking Brut Military Grade BJR ZB Commodore. Todd had a mixed bag of results last week but had a cracker race 2, finishing in a solid P6. Let’s hope he has no technical issues this week and can get the #14 up the pointy end of the grid.
The word from Todd:
“I’ve been learning the track over the last few days now so I’m familiar with it and feeling confident. I had a personal best finish last week and hopefully everything runs smoothly at Spa and I can get some great results for the team and Brut.”
Team CoolDrive #3 Macauley Jones
Macauley Jones is set to jet once again in the Team CoolDrive Commodore after his best results to date, last week. With two top ten finishes now under his belt, Macca is showing great improvements on his sim and has really stepped it up a notch.
The word from Macca:
“I’ve been working all week with our BJR Data Engineer, Andrew Donnolly, who is my spotter in the Eseries. He has been helping me so much with my strategy for the races and it’s really paying off. I’ve done a few races in different sim categories this week and I’m really starting to enjoy it now. I’m looking forward to another great round!”
SCT Motor Sports #4 Jack Smith
Jack Smith in the SCT Motor Sports Commodore has been preparing to tackle Spa. After a challenging round last week, Jack is looking to stay clear of any carnage with some improved results after some more hours of sim practice.
The word from Jack:
“I’ve got Jake my spotter helping me again this week with strategy. It does help a lot having him as I can just focus on racing while he helps me out with the strategy side of things. Keen to get some better results on the board this week.”
At this stage there will be two Wildcards joining the Supercars grid with rising open-wheel racing talent Jack Doohan and Formula 1 star Lando Norris to round out the field.
