Dunlop Super Dealer Racing #8 Nick Percat
A solid night for Nick with three top ten finishes, proving that the practice on his sim is paying off. He also provided the highlight of the night (see below).
The word from Nick:
“A good night of racing, I’m happy with my results and managing 3 top tenners. The expression session was a bit of fun for the night. Good work to Supercars for keeping everyone entertained and the racing going during this time. It was a fun night and I’m enjoying the battles on track.”
Brut Military Grade #14 Todd Hazelwood
Todd came out all guns blazing for the North America round. Highlight of the night was his p6 finish for Race 2, best finish of the night for the BJR team. Unfortunately, his computer didn’t want to cooperate for the final two races, with a dodgy screen leaving Todd in the dark (pun intended) and having to battle on as best he could. At least he smelt fantastic (Thanks Brut)!
The word from Todd:
“Up and down night for me and it could have been so much better if I didn’t have bloody screen issues, which is quite frustrating. Had a stellar race two and I was up in p7 on the third race then my screen went blank. The joys of technology sometimes. It was a great night of racing overall and awesome to have the support of Brut Military Grade on my side.”
Team CoolDrive #3 Macauley Jones
Macca’s best results so far in the Eseries with two top ten finishes and showing great race pace throughout the night. Unfortunately, he was caught up in the carnage in the third race of the night with a hit causing substantial damage and hurting his race. Nonetheless, huge improvements from Macca’s end with impressive results.
The word from Macca:
“Last night was a better one for me with some good finishes. I got some unnecessary hits that were a bit uncalled for from a few drivers. I’m feeling more confident in the sim now and having our BJR engineers on the night helping out is a huge plus now too.”
SCT Motor Sport #4 Jack Smith
Although a tough night for Jack with some impacts during the races, he showed impressive starts off the front line of the grid and featured in some solid battles during the night. An improved round overall picking up that race pace.
The word from Jack:
“The racing and competitiveness of the field has lifted again; it was a fun night of racing. It’s always hard to manage my strategy with damage on the car but I thought we did this well this week. I feel like my starts are improving so I’ll keep working on this and my race pace. I had some great battles so that’s always fun and the expression session was great too.”
HIGHLIGHT
Highlight of the night goes to Nick Percat in the Dunlop Super Dealer Racing Commodore with his impressive half somersault followed by a bit of two-wheel driving. Nice trick Nick!
