RACE 2 / 78 LAPS
TIME: 15:20
CONDITIONS: Sunny, warm
FINISHED: Position 14th
WINNER: Scott McLaughlin
RACE RECAP: From 15th on the grid, Todd and the BJR Plus Fitness Racing Commodore showed consistent speed to move up the leaderboard. By lap 13 he’d gained 5 spots, running in 10th – a position he held for much of the race. It looked like his first top 10 was on the cards for the team but unfortunately there was a pit stop issue that meant not enough fuel went in to car #14. This forced Todd back into the pits for a splash and dash stop that cost him that spot in the top 10. Despite dropping back to position 16, the team again showed strong late-race pace and Todd finished in 14th.
THE WORD FROM TODD
‘We’re in a pretty solid position at the start and I was pretty happy with the pace and the position we were holding. There’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll bounce back at the Grand Prix. For our first weekend together I’m really happy and I think we’re working together as a collective group really well.’
