The Word From
Jake: Dunlop Racing “Finally a strong night for me in the Dunlop Racing Commodore. Our oval woes from Michigan turned around for a strong run at Charlotte, with a close P2 in Race One and P8 from P22 in Race Two. These were solid points and I'm proud of the way I drove smart to avoid the incidents and I am very thankful for Andrew Edwards (BJR race engineer) fantastic strategy to get me in position with good strategy. In the final race at Spa we drove solidly, but a mistake from me with 3 laps to go turned an easy P6 into P8, which hurt us a little bit especially after the fantastic undercut call from AE. Nonetheless, a really solid round for us in the #8, it was nice to get a solid result finally for Dunlop and Brad Jones Racing. Really keen to finish the season off strong at my favourite track at Phillip Island for the final round next week!”

Madison: Cub Cadet Mowers "A double podium and a relatively successful night for the Cub Cadet Mowers Commodore. The night started off strong with a 3rd place finish behind teammate Jake Burton after some great teamwork to ensure we both stayed at the pointy end. The reverse grid Race at Charlotte unfortunately didn't go to plan and was always going to be hard starting from the back. I climbed up the track but unfortunately made contact with another car and the wall causing severe damage but were able to nurse it home to score much needed points finishing in 13th place after starting 21st. The final race at Spa was a more comfortable place for me to be back on a road course. We qualified 3rd and managed to maintain that spot to finish in the high paying points race on the podium yet again. The race was eventful with an awesome battle in the closing laps between Webster and Filsell. It was absolutely awesome to put a move on around the outside of Webster at Les Combe and get that podium spot back. A big thank you to Tony Woodward (BJR race engineer) for the awesome strategy calls and spotting yet again, it really has put Car #14 in competitive positions every time we hit the track.A solid night overall banking good points heading into the final round of the series next week. We will keep pushing as a team and look to finish the 2020 year on a high!"

Jackson: R&J Batteries “Was a decent night for the team and I bagged some good results with some decent points. Unfortunately, in both oval races I got unlucky getting caught up in incidents after not getting a draft in qualifying. But was good to finish the night with a 6th place finish at Spa-Francorchamps. Definitely looking forward to the final round next week and finishing on a high for R&J Batteries and Brad Jones Racing.”
