The Word From
Jake: Dunlop Racing “A rough night for the #8! Really stoked to get a Top 3 qualifying in the shootout for Dunlop and BJR, but unfortunately the night went south from there. Contact in all three races lead to an average night, with the highlight P5 in the first race. I'm really excited for the Bathurst round next week as we've had reasonable success there in the past and it gives us an opportunity to utilise BJR’s engineering group in a bigger strategy race. Bring it on!"

Madison: R&J Batteries “Extremely happy with my performance in round two. I feel that I really maximised my results grabbing two podiums and a decent run from 21st to 7th in the reverse grid race. The pace was awesome, and it was really set up from some solid qualifying performances to start the night. Track position is key in this series so the fact we started towards the front was a huge advantage and kept us out of the drama.
Overall, happy with how the round went. We will continue to work hard in the coming weeks to ensure that we maintain the strong start that we have had and give us the best possible chance of continuing the run of success that we have had. We head to Mount Panorama, Bathurst next Tuesday which will be hugely important being a single race and so many points offered in one hit. As a team, our testing program has been solid.  We will keep playing to our strengths and see where we end up at Bathurst.
A big thanks to R&J Batteries and Black Duck SeatCovers for their continued support. Hopefully, I get the #14 up on that podium a lot more over the series.

Jackson: Cub Cadet Mowers “Difficult night for me however I definitely made some improvements from last week to our one lap pace qualifying in 7th and 5th.
In race one I was running 6th then I got hit into pit lane which sent me from 6th to 12th and could only come back to 10th after the damage.
Second race again had a great start moved from 12th to 3rd in two laps but unfortunately again got caught up in a crash with a car in front clearing a slowdown and not having anywhere to go. I got hit from behind and my race was over. Bit of a, what could have been as I had the speed for a top three finish.
Final race we started 5th but once again I was hit from behind and spun around sending me from 5th to 16th. Tried to bring the car home best I could with the damage but unfortunately the damage I had was enough to have to retire the car.
Our race pace was strong enough to be battling for podiums. We just need to improve our one lap pace and we should be able to start getting some top five results. Last night was hard because I feel we had a good shot at being top five in the three races and maybe a top three. We will push on and come back stronger for Bathurst next week.”
