RECAP
Two crucial practice sessions were the focus of today’s on track action. Practice six was a dedicated co-driver session and gave another opportunity to get some more miles under the belt for Jordan, who again showed good pace and consistency as the team focused on longer runs in preparation for the gruelling stints on race day. The final session, for both drivers, featured practice pitstops and driver changes. After seven practice sessions over three days, both Todd and Jordan finally felt that the Cub Cadet Mowers Supercar was tuned perfectly for 161 laps of the Mountain tomorrow!
THE WORD FROM TODD
“Saturday’s all done and dusted for us today. We’ve had two practice sessions, first one Jordan was in the car and he did a really good job. It was great to see that his confidence was back and he posted a really solid time which was great to see. For us tomorrow if we can both consistently do our part there is no reason why we can’t be in contention tomorrow afternoon.
The conditions are changing a lot at the moment which is making it really tricky to understand the track and if we’re getting a true indication of the set-up and car. The wind is playing a big part in that as well so trying to take everything with a grain of salt at the moment and not get too sucked up in lap time world. Overall, the Cub Cadet Mowers car is competitive so bring on tomorrow and what we’ve all been waiting for!”
