RECAP

Saturday:

A new challenge for Jack and the SCT MotorSports team, with the use of the shorter 3.41km ‘west’ circuit this weekend. Five sets of soft tyres available again but with the shorter circuit and valuable intel from last weekend, the blistering rear tyre issue wasn’t expected to rear its head. Good run in the first race of the weekend, with Jack bringing the SCT MotorSports Commodore home in 21st.

Sunday:

Race 29, the first of two on Sunday and Jack, from p20, made a great start - sitting comfortably in 15th by lap six. Car #4 was in relatively early for fresh tyres and Jack found the car to be handling well. With just 10 laps to go the Safety Car was called out to retrieve two broken cars and the race resumed with just seven laps remaining. The final run to the flag saw Jack right in the thick of a fantastic battle, the SCT MotorSports Supercar crossing the line in a solid p17.

From 19th on the grid in the final race of the day, Jack was involved in another one of those classic chaotic first laps, full of action and excitement. The SCT MotorSports Commodore battled hard with Jacobson in the latter phase of the race - just missing out on grabbing the spot, finishing in 22nd. Now the SCT MotorSports team looks towards the Mountain and the Great Race - a fitting finale to the Supercars Championship.

THE WORD FROM JACK

“It was good to qualify inside that top 20 and start 19th in the final race today. I had some great battles on track and went in for some good dives but unfortunately struggled a little with the race pace today. I felt like it was a step up from last weekend and I used the knowledge I gained from the last round to put into this weekend's racing.

It was great to race on the West Circuit for the first time and feel like we’re making positive steps forward especially leading into Bathurst. Overall lots of positives to take away from the weekend”.
