RECAP

Well, that was a difficult one – a legacy of yesterday’s accident, when the R&J Batteries Commodore was badly damaged after the sister car of Nick Percat speared into the side of #14 after a nudge from Shane van Gisbergen. While the team did a sensational job to fix the damage – working late into the night – something was not quite right at the rear of the car and Todd suffered with car pace throughout qualifying and the race. The team decided not to use up the limited number of soft tyres so it was a difficult run to the finish on hard rubber for Todd and the Brut Military Grade Commodore.

RECAP

Another tough day at the office – car issues still significantly affecting #14. Todd did his best to wring out as much performance as possible from the Brut Military Grade Commodore, battling hard with those around him and never giving up but with handling issues and gear shift problems too, it was an uphill battle!

THE WORD FROM TODD

“Really tough day for car 14 crew. We need to look at the whole day and workout where we went wrong as we have a few unanswered questions there. Head down, bum up now and we need to work out what we can do for next week.

We had a strong car but the heavy workload overnight maybe, potentially something has gone wrong as the car just didn’t feel the same today. It just lacked straight line speed so we had some sort of issue going on there.

Tough pill to swallow as we are capable of so much more. Tough day but we’ll regroup and get ready to go again next weekend.”
