RACE 11 / 32 Laps

TIME: 12:25

CONDITIONS: Sunny, dry

FINISHED: Position 1st

WINNER: Nick Percat

RECAP: Race 11 winner baby and soft tyres were the key!

Starting in P3, Nick was fast off the line, with elbows out from the get-go as Fabian Coulthard gave him a nudge from behind into turn one. Nick wasn’t having any of it though and then quickly overtook Scott McLaughlin to sit in P2 right behind Shane Van Gisbergen.

With strong tyres Nick put the pressure on to Van Gisbergen and the battle was on. Opting to pit on lap 12 and take on another 4 soft tyres, Nick re-joined in 5th behind teammate Macauley Jones.

The key to the race was now to conserve tyres and with 12 laps to go Nick was sitting in a comfortable P2 behind van Gisbergen who was yet to pit and on a different strategy.

Van Gisbergen finally pitted and Nick moved up to the lead of the race with 9 laps to go - a position he held to the finish. It was a flawless drive from start to finish, Nick crossing the chequered flag 9 seconds in front of second place Fabian Coulthard. What a race!!

RACE 12 / 32 Laps

TIME: 14:50

CONDITIONS: Sunny, dry

FINISHED: Position 11th

WINNER: Jack Le Brocq

RECAP: Starting from P6 with 2 green hard left hand tyres and 2 used hard right hand tyres, it wasn’t going to be an easy race as this was the final tyre allocation Nick had left but boy he gave it all he had.

Nick got a good start and managed the first half of the race well, coming into pit on lap 11 and re-joining the field in p15 behind Mark Winterbottom.

With 20 laps to go, Nick did well to maximise the car and conserve his tyres, finally crossing the finish line in P11. A great day on track for Nick and the team!

THE WORD FROM NICK

“An awesome day for the whole team and I’m just so glad I could get another win today with Brad and everyone here this time. Our strategy and tyre choice was spot on so a huge thank you to my engineer and the team for all their work over the weekend. Two race events with two wins, I couldn’t ask for any more at the moment.

Thank you to all our team sponsors for their continued support. I’m really looking forward to the year ahead”
